Ingredients

  • 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 tbsps Butter
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 1/2 tsps Soy Sauce
  • 8 cups Green Beans
  • 3 cups French Fried Onions
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.  Also begin heating a large pot of salted water that will be used to blanch the green beans.
  • Obtain another large bowl to fill with ice and water, this will be the ice bath for blanching the green beans. Cook the green beans for 5 minutes in the boiling water, strain them, and then put them in the ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  • Chop the onion and garlic to prepare. Melt butter in a small pan and cook the onion and garlic for roughly 4 minutes until slightly browned.
  • Stir cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, green beans, onion/garlic mixture, and 1 1/2 cups French fried onions in a bowl, mixing thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Using a standard casserole dish, pour all of the ingredients inside of the dish until even. Cook for 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle remaining French fried onions on the top of the casserole. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
